Description

A semi-soild stain is ideal for reducing variations in the wood without completely obscuring the wood grain. For those who want to add colour to their deck or fence with minimal wood tones showing through.
Provides excellent durability and UV protection with a deeply penetrating oil formula as well as creates a mildew resistant finish.

Best for exterior wood surfaces such as decks, fences, siding and exterior furniture that have never been stained or where previous stain was removed or faded
Not recommended for hardwood substrates (e.g. Mahogany, Teak, and Ipe)
Can be used after proper prep over top new wood or wood previously stained in semi-solid, semi-transparent, or translucent that has faded over time, is in good condition

Be mindful of weather conditions. You should not be working in direct sunlight, as the stain will dry too quickly and possibly cause failure and/or lap marks. It is also not recommended if the weather is too hot, cold, windy or raining.
Make sure your wood surface is properly prepped. Check out the Exterior Prep Guide for helpful tips.
Make sure wood surface is clean and dry. Ideal staining conditions would allow for 2-3 days of no rain before and after application while maintaining a consistent temperature 10°C.
Recommended application is with a brush, working in sections (e.g. 2-3 boards at a time). Only stop at natural breaks.
You can apply stain by roller or spray, however, you must still back brush to ensure an even finish.
When applying stain, make sure to start from a dry section of wood working back into wet to avoid lap marks.
On vertical surfaces, apply stain from the bottom up to avoid drip marks.
One coat application is recommended for best results.
Stain will dry to touch in 6 hours. For decks, allow 48 hours before regular foot traffic.
