Things to consider with New Wood

Prep Options

If your wood is previously stained in a higher opacity than translucent (chipping and peeling) and you want to change the colour and look:

Power wash on a LOW setting and use 80 grit sandpaper to remove existing stain

OR

Use Chemical Stripper Remove & Brighten to remove existing stain

Weatherd Wood

Prep Options
If your wood is grey and weathered and you want to enhance it with stain you will need to prep it to get an even finish:
To help bring back your woods natural tone, you can try power washing on a LOW setting and using 80 grit sandpaper to open up the wood pours
OR
Use Chemical Cleaners Restore & Brighten to bring back woods natural tone
